When we are going through something difficult, and feel alone and unsupported, it can be comforting to remember and re-connect to our sense of place in the world through¬† seeing our place in the greater scheme of things… outside and beyond the challenges of our immediate human relationships, sometimes…

Imagine a place where you feel peaceful, accepted and relaxed. Call up the details of this place and notice how your body responds to even the thought of this oasis. It may be outside in a favourite place in nature, by water, under a tree, alone or with a beloved friend, inspirational character or pet, or it could even be in a room that you like and feel safe in. Pay attention to what exactly makes you feel peaceful here, what is it about this place that provides reassurance and comfort?  Write about the place and what it reveals to you about what you need.
